The group's international expansion continued with the establishment of Thai Lion Air in 2014. This joint venture between Lion Air Group and Thai businessmen aimed to replicate the success of Lion Air's low-cost model in Thailand. Thai Lion Air quickly captured a significant share of the Thai domestic market, further solidifying Lion Air Group's regional presence.
